A Story about happiness

Under the burning Tuscan sun, Piazza del Campo, the historic center of Siena, wasn't so welcoming at the beginning.
I refused a climb in the tower and I desperately searched some shade. While cooling a bit, I started to see around me why the place is so famous and renowned worldwide as a greatest medieval square. The Palazzo Pubblico and its Torre del Mangia, as well as various palazzi signorili surround the shell-shaped piazza. At the northwest edge I could see the Fonte Gaia (The Fountain of Joy).
But there was also something else than the beautiful and well preserved architecture that caught my attention. The place was full of people, tourists or locals, adults and children, talking, eating, walking, relaxing, enjoying the Indian summer. Some distinguished from the crowd by clothes, some by resting directly on the ground, but there was the little girl that filled the square with her happiness, joy and friendliness.
At that point I couldn't help myself but raised the camera and kept exposing.
